Healed Work
Nervous about how single-needle or fine-line tattoos heal? See how mine age.
Aftercare
You can keep the second-skin bandage on for a maximum of 5 days. If the bandage is irritating, too much sweating has occurred or any other reason, then you can remove it earlier. Once off, follow the next steps.
Then gently wash the tattoo with anti-bacterial soap, pat it dry with a paper towel and let it air dry completely. Do this every time you shower as well.
I recommend using lotion to keep it moisturized. If you prefer ointment, use a very thin layer. Apply 2-3 times daily for 2-3 weeks.
Prevent excess sun exposure, soaking underwater, excess movement and sweating on the tattoo site(I.e. tanning, swimming or intense exercise).
Note: If you must exercise, try to target areas excluding the part of the body where the tattoo is. Still be careful of the sweating though.
Do NOT scratch or pick the tattoo while it is healing. The scab aids in the healing so you must protect it.
After the tattoo is fully healed, continued use of lotion and using sunscreen while outdoors will help preserve it.
